Positive Covid-19 found in one woman among nearly 300 workers sent from Thailand

BATTAMBANG: A woman was tested positive for Covid-19 among 282 other Cambodian workers after Thai authorities sent her back to her hometown.

Kamrieng district border police said that the woman was found to be positive for Covid-19 on 10 February 2022, after Thailand deported her back to Cambodia through the O'Anlok border crossing in O'Anlok village, Ta Sen commune, Kamrieng District, Battambang Province.

The woman was among 283 Thai repatriated workers, 89 men, 84 children and 110 women.

Of those workers, 237 were screened for Covid-19 vaccine and were allowed to return to their homes by education officials, while women who were positive for Covid-19 were sent by Doctors to the treatment center and also required to do quarantine to monitor their health.
